Bastrykin noted that rape cases by immigrants increased by 9 percent and sexual assaults by 18 percent. At the same time, the head of TFR emphasized that the level of real crime among foreign citizens is much higher than official figures.
According to Bastrykin, anger at the criminal acts of foreigners is growing in Russian society. He described the criminal activities of immigrants as a serious community problem and a serious challenge to law enforcement, including TFR.
The meeting discussed the situation in Kotelniki near Moscow, where local residents had to turn to Russian President Vladimir Putin to resolve issues related to the illegal activity of immigrants.
