The FBI found 40 human skulls and other human remains as decorations in a man’s home He connected him to a network of people in Kentucky, United States, who allegedly bought and sold body parts, including a mortuary director from Harvard Medical School.
According to FBI affidavit shared by CNN, FBI agents went to the detainee’s apartment on Tuesday with a warrant and said “just dead friends” when asked if anyone else was in the house. Skulls were scattered all over the house, one with a headscarf and the other on the mattress on which he slept.. Agents also found spinal cords, femurs, hip bones and a bag from Harvard Medical School.
The detainee was not charged with body part-related crimes, but is facing a federal charge of possession of a firearm as a “prohibited person” due to his status as a convicted criminal. As early as 2011, the defendant pleaded guilty to possession of an unregistered destructive device after it was found that a detonator cable, ignition devices, timer fuses, and other materials that could be used to create a “destructive device” were found on it.
