The otter stole his surfboard from a swimming man and tried to swim away with it. Channel reported, the case was videotaped KSBW.
The incident occurred a month ago in Santa Cruz, where a 16-year-old boy named Noah Wormhoudt was catching waves with a friend at Cowells Beach.
“I started paddling trying to avoid the otter, but the otter kept getting closer and closer. I jumped off the board, then he jumped on it. It was a pretty cool experience,” Wormhaudt explained.
Footage taken by an eyewitness shows the animal grabbing a surfboard as its owner swims alongside. Then the otter climbed onto the board and quickly swam away, and the man chased him. When he passed the animal, he began to sprinkle water on it, and then the otter jumped off the board.
