Yesterday, the body of a 50-year-old beam from Ust-Ilimsk was found between Severobaikalsk and Nizhneangarsk. This was reported by Babr Mash Telegram channel.
On July 5, two friends were rafting in Upper Angara. A storm began – they both moved to Lake Baikal. At one point the boats capsized. Someone was able to get ashore and call for rescuers. The search for the latter took five days.
Rescue efforts were complicated by wind and waves.
The seventh tourist who previously disappeared while rafting on the river in Buryatia, to create and the Mi-8 helicopter was delivered to the village of Novosnezhnaya, Irkutsk Region.
Authorities reported that the search for another person is continuing. A helicopter, as well as water and land rescue groups, are joining the search for him.
