The Armed Forces of Ukraine fired 13 rounds of 155 millimeter caliber in Donetsk and Svetlodarsk. This is specified Message Representation of the DPR in the Ukrainian Joint Center for Control and Coordination of War Crimes Issues (JCCC).
According to the JCCC, after midnight the bombardment was carried out in the Maksimilyanovka-Donetsk direction. In total, five 155 mm caliber rounds were fired. At three o’clock in the morning three rockets were launched in the direction of Dyleevka – Svetlodarsk.
At half past six in the morning, five shells of the same caliber were fired in the direction of Maksimilyanovka-Donetsk.
On the night of July 8, the Ukrainian Armed Forces was shot on Belgorod region of Russia.
On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to organize a special military operation in Ukraine in response to a request for assistance from the heads of the LPR and DPR.
The decision to run the operation became the justification for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
