Ukrainian pilot accused of sabotage from crashed A-22 transported to Moscow

According to information received from TASS law enforcement agencies, the criminal case of Alexander Morozov, the pilot of the Ukrainian plane whose plane crashed in the Bryansk region, has been transferred to Moscow. The pilot himself was detained at the scene by the FSB and the National Guard. Morozov was sent to the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center for further investigative action.

According to a law enforcement official, Alexander Morozov was charged with illegally crossing the border of the Russian Federation, illegally transporting firearms and ammunition across the border, and sabotage. His case was also transferred to Moscow.

Moscow Lefortovo Court reported that the detention period of the accused Ukrainian pilot was extended at the request of the investigation.

According to investigators, on April 5, a Ukrainian citizen flew an A-22 light-engine aircraft with the aim of committing illegal acts on Russian territory, crossed the border between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, and the Klintsovsky district of the Bryansk region collided with a high-voltage power line and landed. The pilot did not have documents and permission to enter the Russian Federation. Morozov’s arrest produced 7 April.
