In Russia, they want to launch a scheme to lease foreign respirators (ALVs) against the backdrop of the discussion of an attempt to ban the purchase of foreign respirators (ALVs) from other countries and replace them with domestic ones. This proposal was made by Airat Farrakhov, doctor of medical sciences, State Duma deputy. transmits “Parliamentary newspaper”.

According to the deputy, domestic devices are now produced at a high technical level, but in case of serious diseases, a ventilator with a large list of functions that is not available in the Russian model may be required. Therefore, Farrakhov noted that it is possible to create a rental service, where state clinics can rent innovative expensive equipment.

Commercial clinics equipped with such equipment are recommended to be included in this scheme. According to the addressee of the publication, support at the state level can be offered for their interest in cooperation. The deputy believes that such an initiative will help not to violate the rights of patients.

Ministry of Industry and Trade at the end of June presented Prohibit government purchases of foreign-made respirators. The department noted that today on the Russian market there are several companies capable of producing up to 36 thousand ventilators per year. At the same time, state medical institutions buy only 2.7 thousand devices per year.
