Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Héctor Gómez, announced the publication of the second call for the Strategic Project for the Upgrade and Economic Transformation of the Electric and Connected Vehicle (Perte VEC). the one for the electric vehicle value chain.
This was announced at the press conference after Héctor Gómez, the Council of Ministers who first predicted it. The window will open on July 15 to promote the projects participating in this call.It is remembered that they occur by simple simultaneity.
In this sense, the minister detailed that the A block of Perte VEC’s second call on batteries will receive 850 million euros, of which 550 million will be grants and the remaining 287 will be concessions in loan format. .
The European Commission has published the new exemption regulation by category, which allows the exclusion of block B from Perte VEC II, targeting specific projects related to the promotion of electric vehicles. “After the regulation is published, we start the procedure by the commission authorized. and we will also announce both the call and the final release of this call block B, VEC II,” the minister confirmed.
Minister Gómez evaluated that with this call, “very important support” was given to electric vehicles and their spread. He also highlighted the work done with the Ministry of Transition on charging points and acknowledged that all measures were agreed with the industry.r “the backbone of our economy and promoting an industry we consider essential.”
“We are aware that we need to reduce the gap with other countries of the European Union,” said Gómez. In addition, the Minister of Industry stated that they have added a “very important” item to the annex of the European funds that will cover the third call for the Perte VEC.
Thus, approximately 1,450 million euros will be donated to this third call, with 1,200 million divided into loans and some into loans. 250 million grants, as announced by Hector Gómez last week.
“We are talking about talks between VEC II and III over 3,000 million euros,” the minister said. “With the tremendous effort we have expressed in terms of loading points, incentives, cuts, etc., a firm commitment that it will definitely mean a point. bending and we hope to reduce that gap and be above average in the penetration of electric vehicles,” he stressed.
