British intelligence agencies are investigating a hacking of the database of one of the country’s health system departments, which they suspect was involved in hackers from Russia. It has been reported Telegram.

Intelligence officials are investigating a possible Russian cyberattack on a branch of the National Health System with 2.5 million patients.

According to the publication, the department, which includes six hospitals and ten clinics, was attacked.

Hacker group BlackCat (ALPHV) is said to have allegedly gained access to employee personal data, financial information, including credit card information, and “documents of private citizens” on June 30.

As stated in the publication, hackers threaten to release relevant data if branch representatives do not contact them before July 3.
