In Russia, they created a new drone suppression system “Argus-Antidron”, made in the form of a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher. This was announced by the director of development of NPO “Kaisant” Alena Balandina, the corporate developer of this weapon.
At the exhibition, we are presenting our Argus-Antidron anti-drone cannon with a suppression range of up to 1.5 kilometers and a runtime of 1.5 hours without charging the battery.” DEA News her words.
Balandina added that the new development will allow “landing” many types of enemy drones.
Former scientists from Imperial College London and Swiss Institute Empa showed a prototype A fireproof FireDrone quadcopter that can withstand temperatures up to 200°C for 10 minutes. The device can also search for people and transmit data about their detection to rescuers via remote control.
The drone’s heat resistance was achieved using a special insulating airgel applied to the entire body of the FireDrone.
