Children who begin to enjoy reading at an early age do better on cognitive tests that measure factors such as verbal learning, memory and language development. In this respect informs “Reedus”, referring to the results of a study conducted by scientists at the University of Cambridge (UK). It also turned out that such children are less likely to experience stress and have behavioral problems.
“Reading is not just an enjoyable activity. It improves thinking and creativity, increases empathy and reduces stress. We encourage parents to do everything they can to spark an interest in reading in their children at an early age. This will help them thrive.”
scientists note.
The study included 10,000 young people between the ages of two and nine who began reading for pleasure and later became interested in reading or did not like the activity at all.
