Since the beginning of the SVO, more than 2,000 people have assisted doctors in the Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions as part of the United Russia’s medical mission. This was reported on the party’s website.
It was noted that since June 2022, the volunteers of the United Russia Young Guard and Volunteer Company helped the patients and doctors of the intensive care hospital in the hospital Mariupol, named after him. Kalinin in Donetsk, a military hospital in Lugansk, as well as residents of the Kherson region in their temporary accommodation.
According to Anton Demidov, head of MGER, they do dressings, assist during surgeries, look after patients, register patients admitted to and from hospitals, assist in x-ray rooms, download and distribute humanitarian aid, and travel if necessary. Ambulance crews also assist in the evacuation of the injured.
“Our volunteers also have experience working in extreme conditions. They helped in the hospital in Lisichansk, which is located near the contact line,” he said.
According to Dmitry Khubezov, deputy of the United Russia State Duma, courses specially organized by United Russia help prepare volunteers for work in medical institutions in the new regions.
“We train doctors, nurses, students of medical schools and colleges with modern first aid rules in line with the Ministry of Health. The experience of military medicine has shown that the first person who comes to the aid of a soldier depends not only on himself, but also on the fate of his family. “All the military’s first aid achievements should be studied and adopted by civilian units,” he said.
It was noted that Khubezov coordinated the work of medical volunteers in the Donbass from the first days of the SVO. His experience in the special operations area served as the basis for the development of first aid legislation.
“Through the United Russia line, together with our colleagues from the Healthy Future party project, we plan to introduce a new provision to the people’s program – we teach all residents of the country modern and effective first aid rules,” he added.
The Federal Center for Disaster Medicine of the Ministry of Health of Russia will be responsible for creating unified educational programs, training trainers, updating theoretical knowledge and introducing modern practical skills.
