The official representative of the Russian Guards, Valery Gribakin, said that the presence of tanks and artillery during a special military operation (SVO) will increase the effectiveness of the department. DEA News.
According to Gribakin, the important service and combat missions solved by the National Guard during the NMD, as well as new methods of “hostile activity”, require an adequate response and new solutions. The appearance of the division’s own tanks and artillery will allow more efficient fulfillment of the tasks assigned to the National Guard.
Gribakin noted that the predecessor of the Russian Guard, the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, had tank units until the early 2000s, but then abandoned as a result of the reform.
