The most dangerous type of production in Russia is the metallurgical sector – 15% of industrial accidents happen to workers in this private sector. This was demonstrated by a study by AlfaStrakhovanie, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.
In the second place is the coal sector with 12%. Oil companies use policies far less – just a little less than 2%.
The safest industries are the pulp, paper and food industries. Less than 1% of the total number of requests were received from those working in these areas. All are associated with injury or temporary disability.
More than 60% of all injuries to corporate policyholders occurred in manufacturing facilities, AlfaStrakhovanie analysts learned. The same is true for reported deaths.
The most common type of injury received by industrial workers was lower extremity injuries (1.4%). In second place are concussions and closed craniocerebral injuries, they make up about 0.8% of cases. Fractures and burns make up 0.5%, falls from heights make up 0.2%.
