Most Russians (42%) monitor their teeth carefully and brush twice a day. This was demonstrated by a survey of the re:Store chain of consumer equipment and electronics stores, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.
At the same time, according to the study, a third (34%) of respondents brush their teeth only once a day: 27% only in the morning and 7% only in the evening. At the same time, 14% of respondents brush their teeth not every day, but 10%, on the contrary, after each meal.
Most Russians use an ordinary toothbrush (74%) to care for their teeth. 18% prefer to use electric toothbrush, 17% toothpick and 15% floss. 14% of the participants use mouthwash and 10% use an irrigator (more than one option can be selected when answering the question).
One out of every four Russians (25%) visits the dentist once a year. 22% go to the dentist only when their teeth are very sore, and 18% go to the dentist every few years. 13% of respondents undergo regular hygiene examinations and 7% regularly treat bad teeth. 15% of the respondents never go because they are afraid of dentists.
Survey respondents believe that dental health can be improved by eating foods rich in calcium and fluoride (42%), using a quality toothbrush (41%), avoiding sugary and carbonated drinks (39%), and not smoking (35%). At the same time, 20% of Russians believe that the condition of the teeth cannot be improved, since it depends only on genes (when answering the question, you can choose several options).
