The Turkish president met with the NATO Secretary General this Sunday, where Sweden’s candidacy for NATO membership is one of the issues discussed.
The PKK is recognized as a terrorist organization by Türkiye and Sweden and European Union. Ankara also sees the Syrian Kurdish YPG militias only as an extension of the PKK, while the EU does not see them as terrorists.
