Scientists from the Crimean Federal University named after VI. Vernadsky (KFU named after VI Vernadsky) developed a drone prototype for tillage and plants. This was reported to socialbites.ca in the press service of the program “Priority 2030” of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.
Scientists have created a prototype unmanned chassis with ground clearance for processing vineyards. It is equipped with emitters for treating plants and soil with disinfecting infrared and ultraviolet light, devices for spraying and mechanical tillage on the tree trunk. The combined effect of the two types of radiation reduces the incidence of pathogenic microflora by more than 90%.
The chassis has a clearance of up to 2200 mm and a track of 1200 to 1800 mm, allowing plants to move over its crown. The chassis is controlled by the operator using the remote control.
“The vineyards are one of the most saturated in the consumption of chemical plantations. That is, they are processed up to 20 times in just one growing season. If we reduce this load at least twice, we will achieve a very high healing effect both for the soil and for plants, air and people, ”said socialbites.ca, head of the general technical disciplines department of the KFU Academy of Agrotechnology. got its name. IN AND. Vernadsky Alexey Zavaliy.
The chassis is a rectangular frame with four telescopic struts on which the wheels are mounted: swivel wheels on the front struts and drive wheels on the rear struts. Behind the platform is the power plant: diesel engine, gearbox and transmission. And the front part of the structure is designed to accommodate a payload of up to 200 kg.
