Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law granting citizens with a criminal record or limited military service the right to enter into contracts with the Russian Armed Forces. The document has been officially published portal legal information.
The law will enter into force from the date of its publication.
invoice introduced to the State Duma on 13 June. The document gives you immunity from criminal liability to recruited and contracted soldiers who have had a criminal record cleared or committed minor and medium offenses before entering service.
The innovations will affect those who are mobilized during mobilization or martial law and sign contracts with the Ministry of National Defense. The law will only affect those who committed crimes or began serving their sentences before the law was enacted.
The initiative was launched by deputies Pavel Krasheninnikov and Irina Pankina, as well as the head of the Federation Council’s committee on constitutional legislation and state-building, Andrey Klishas.
