Most young Russians do not dream of leadership positions. This was demonstrated in a survey by SberNPF and Rabota.ru, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.
Therefore, 24% of respondents want to work as a specialist in a midsize company but do not want to be a leader. Another 24% said they dream of starting their own business and working for themselves. 20% want to work as a specialist in a large company, but also not in leadership positions.
17% of respondents want to work in a large company with the possibility of becoming a manager, and 10% in a medium-sized company. And only 4% of respondents said they dream of a career in a startup by creating processes from scratch.
The study also showed that the main concern for young people when looking for a job is a good salary. 65% of the respondents gave this answer.
At the same time, 34% of respondents indicated that comfortable working conditions are of paramount importance to them (multiple answers can be selected): work schedule, company location, technical equipment. 27% of respondents chose it as a friendly team, 26% as a good social package that should include medical services, corporate retirement and more.
Young Russians also named a good manager when applying for a job (as answered by 25% of respondents), the possibility of professional development and the development of personal skills (20%), career advancement (18%), a distant program as important criteria. (18%), proximity to work (15%), and a strong team to thrive (14%).
The conclusion of young people in Russia that some young people want to open their own business is also confirmed by the data of the IFROS RESEARCH study, which is at the disposal of socialbites.ca. Thus, 19% (one in five) of young people aged 18-35 think about the possibility of opening their own business in the next year. The indicator of youth entrepreneurship potential has not changed since 2020.
