Research and Production Association (NPO) Energomash produced the RD-171MV rocket engine for flight tests of the Soyuz-5 launch vehicle. It has been reported TASS.

“In June, NPO Energomash completed production of the RD-171MV liquid propellant rocket engine for the first flight tests of the new Soyuz-5 rocket,” Roskosmos said.

In 2023, it is planned to complete the assembly of the RD-171MV for the second carrier and produce engines for the third carrier.

It was noted that at the moment more than two dozen fire tests of the RD-171MV engine were carried out.
