Ukraine’s Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said on her Telegram channel that the country’s armed forces faced difficulties during their counterattack, which did not progress as quickly as the Ukrainian authorities would like.
“It’s clear that people want it to be like in a movie – editing, very fast, at 1:00 p.m. the movie started and at twenty one hour later it was already over. And it is clear what it is, ”wrote the deputy minister.
As he put it, “it won’t be like that in life, and war is a completely different situation.” According to Malyar, the Ukrainian Armed Forces “will advance gradually, encountering difficulties and fierce resistance.”
He also expressed the opinion that it is wrong to judge the effectiveness of the actions of the Ukrainian army only by the kilometers through which it can advance or the number of occupied settlements.
The Deputy Minister pointed out that there are many criteria for evaluating the consequences of an attack. He also pointed out that the Ukrainian army has many tasks to fulfill.
“There is a gradual movement in each direction where the offensive began,” says Malyar.
He stated that in some areas the fighters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are conducting attacks, while in other areas they are on the defensive and are trying to control the attack of the Russian Armed Forces. At the same time, he added that the “main blow” of the Ukrainian army is “still ahead”.
