Rospotrebnadzor took samples from water and environmental objects in the Kherson region, so far no deviations from the standard indicators have been detected. This was reported in the press service of the department.
Currently, 35 drinking water samples have been taken from the distribution network for research on microbiological and sanitary-chemical indicators from 20 settlements in the Kherson region, including those downstream of the Dnieper River.
Drinking water will be sampled daily, every two days, and experts will also take sea water from the Kherson region on the Black Sea coast and from the Crimea. In addition, the ministry’s experts decided to strengthen the monitoring of water flowing through the North Crimean Canal. Control is carried out over the sanitary and epidemiological condition of settlements and TAPs.
Earlier on the night of June 6, 2023, the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station on the Dnieper occurred. In the Kherson region, after the collapse of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, an emergency regime was introduced. About 2.7 thousand houses were flooded in the region, and those living on the banks of the Dnieper were evacuated. Some settlements were completely submerged.
