Cypriot police found no evidence that the fire at the Russian Science and Culture Center (RCSC) in Nicosia was caused by arson in April. TASS citing a law enforcement source.

On April 26, a fire broke out in the Russian Science and Culture Center in Cyprus. Eyewitnesses said that Molotov cocktails were thrown into the building and the fire started after “two powerful explosions”.

Spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova registeredIt was stated that the fire in the center may have been caused by deliberate arson.

The Russian Scientific and Cultural Center in Nicosia was opened in 1978 and became one of the foreign offices of the Federal Commonwealth of Independent States, citizens living abroad and the Federal Agency for international humanitarian cooperation.
