Archbishop Nikolai Danilevich, Deputy Head of the UOC Department for Foreign Church Relations, said on his Telegram channel that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) temple was flooded after the collapse of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station in Kherson.
According to Danilevich, the temple of the Kasperovskaya Icon of the Mother of God was flooded in a part of the Kherson district controlled by Kiev. The water level in the temple reaches four meters.
“Near the church – about two meters. All church buildings were flooded. All that has been collected for decades is in the water, ”said the abbot.
