Landing failed
Anti-aircraft artillery of the Russian unit of the Dnepr troop group shot down a Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian side in the direction of Kherson. In this respect reported TASS agency, referring to a representative of the emergency services of the Kherson region.

The Russian side shot down the aircraft from the Verba portable anti-aircraft missile system. The wreckage of the plane fell near the village of Osokorovka in the Kherson region. The Ukrainian army failed to land on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region as they had planned.
Su-25
Soviet-era Su-25 or Rook attack aircraft are used to support ground forces. The aircraft was created in the 1970s. These aircraft were produced until the collapse of the USSR in 1991. Russia then resumed production of the Su-25 with the latest modifications in 2009.
The Su-25 is equipped with a double-barreled 30 mm GSh-30-2 air gun. The attack aircraft is capable of carrying a variety of weapons at 10 external suspension points. The Su-25 can reach a maximum speed of 950 km/h. The practical range of the aircraft is about 600 km.
This aircraft is also used by the Russian military. In early May, the Rostec press service announced its intention to replace this model of military aircraft for new weapons, based on the experience of use during Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.

At the same time, the Russian Spring portal reported that Russian anti-aircraft artillery shot down a Su-25 attack aircraft of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Kherson while trying to attack the Russian Armed Forces.
In April, Russian aviation shot down a Ukrainian army Mi-8 helicopter in the DPR. In the same period, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that as a result of the work of the Russian Aerospace Forces, the Ukrainian Su-24 fighter jet was defeated in the Lipovka village area in the DPR.
