According to the Suspilne (Public) TV channel, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that while the armed conflict with Russia continues, it is too early to talk about demobilization in his country.
Speaking about the rotation of Ukrainian soldiers, the head of state noted that this is done when they are tired.
All this happens under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief (AFU) and the Chief of General Staff.”
Residents of Ukraine in April 2023 returned to Zelensky with a request for demobilization.
Last year, Zelenskiy responded to a petition calling for the limitation of conscription, allowing voluntary demobilization of mobilized military personnel who had served for one year, and deferring such military personnel from the next wave of mobilization. The petition collected the 25,000 signatures required for it to be considered.
