The latest Russian kamikaze drone of the Privet-82 aircraft type, developed at the design bureau (KB) Oko, was tested by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. It has been reported DEA Newscites Vadim Zhernov, co-owner and general manager of this design bureau.

According to him, Oko received a protocol stating that the drone was tested by the Ministry of Defense.

“It was May 19,” said Zhernov.

As stated in the document, the drone was tested with a standard load at a distance of 10 km for the range and flight time declared by the developers. During the tests, the “Privet-82” started normally, was constantly controlled throughout the flight, maneuvered while diving to a target, turned off and started the engines and made a repetition of the attack in silent mode.

The possibility of transferring control of a drone in flight from one operator to another was also demonstrated.

In addition, the “Privet-82” proved that it is able to maintain the operation of control and data transmission channels in conditions when the enemy uses an electronic warfare complex (EW) for an unmanned aerial vehicle. At the same time, the signals of the global satellite navigation system (GNSS) were suppressed at a distance of 2.5 thousand meters, and then the drone cruised without GNSS.

In early June, the Oko design bureau announced the production of Hi-82 aircraft-type kamikaze unmanned aerial vehicles. successfully tested Currently, warheads are attached to vehicles in the special military operations zone and are being prepared for use in various units.
