The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is concerned about the continuation of North Korea’s nuclear program. This was announced by the head of the organization, Rafael Grossi.
Speaking on the occasion of the opening session of the IAEA Board of Governors, Grossi emphasized that DPRK violated the UN Security Council resolutions.
Therefore, the Pungeri test site is still ready for nuclear testing, and the Agency notices signs of activity there. In addition, since March this year, the Yongbyon test site has seen signs of operating nuclear facilities and a significant increase in the volume of construction work.
Grossi said the IAEA is on high alert and continues to play an important role in verifying the North Korean nuclear program.
in early June Public News Service South Korea reported that the United States and Japan agreed to create a joint warning system for North Korea’s missile launches.
