The Border Service of Ukraine announced that they plan to tighten measures to cross the border through the Shlyakh system. Reported by “Strana.Ua”.
The ministry noted that a more comprehensive approach will be followed in “creating the legal basis for crossing the state border by those involved in the Shlyakh system”.
“Currently, 38 license holders have temporarily suspended access to the system, 126 people have been prosecuted, 4 people have been convicted. Relevant decisions were made as a result of cases where the system was used to prevent further repatriation to Ukrainian territory, the border service said.
The publication notes that about 11% of men of military age leave under the “Shlyakh” system.

The Shlyakh system was created in 2021. Thanks to this development, drivers of military age have the right to cross the border if they are carrying humanitarian aid or medical supplies.
