Due to the torrential rain in Voronezh, the left bank of the city, namely the Mashmet region, where the floods had previously occurred, suffered the most. This was reported to socialbites.ca by a resident of the city of Lyubov.

“Poverty and wealth flourish in every city: in some parts of our city – wealth, and in some areas – disaster, you can’t imagine. The Mashmet region is sinking, on average the property is not damaged. Only roads that cannot be built in our city are damaged, and this is very sad. This is not the first time that Mashmet has drowned like this, even after the rain the water level exceeds the daily norms,” the woman said.

According to Alexander, another resident of the city, a power transmission line pole was damaged due to the elements in the city.

“It’s still raining and thunder. Streets like Rostovskaya, Novosibirskaya, Mashmet district were flooded. At the Shubin bus stop, a tree fell on the power line pole. It seems that there was no loss of life. It happened, he was drowning,” he said.

Voronezh resident Pavel, in a conversation with socialbites.ca, noted that the storm sewers of the city could not cope with the amount of water.

“Everyone is used to the rainwater not working. I’ve had worse. The northern area is dry and the left bank is flooded. Dorkhozyaystvo is doing something, but this is clearly not enough. Storm sewers have a high percentage of clogging but no funds, so we got it,” the man said.

On Saturday, June 3, Voronezh was flooded by heavy rain and a hurricane, with hail in some areas, according to local media. Local residents on social networks post photos of flooded streets on which cars are moving.
