“The shipping of the first batch of Abrams tanks begins. Soon, 14 M1A1 Abrams tanks and 3 M88A2 Hercules technical support vehicles will go to Poland. They will come to our country at the end of this month,” he said.

He explained that we are not talking about the most modern Abrams tanks. For now these will be older generation tanks that are already in use. According to Blaschak, Poland will receive these combat vehicles in exchange for the T-72 tanks that Warsaw delivered to Ukraine.
He added that Poland expects to receive the upgraded Abrams tanks only by the end of 2024.
