Russians receiving assistance will be able to pay 30-50% less for housing and communal services than other citizens. The newspaper writes about it “News”With reference to the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation.
As the ministry told the publication, “taking into account the principle of targeted expenditure of budget funds, it is assumed that a citizen who receives a certain degree of support from the state will pay 30-50% less than his cost for services (depending on the preferential category).” This difference will be confirmed by a registered electronic certificate and, when paid, will be included in the register for subsequent mutual agreements between the government and the service provider.
The department announced that the funds will no longer be sent to the consumer, as it is now, but to the account of the service provider. In turn, Russians will be able to receive assistance from the state at the time of payment for housing and communal services. The Ministry of Construction stated that the service will start operating no later than 2024.
It is noted that discounts in the payment of housing and communal services will be offered to federal preferential categories of the population – veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the disabled, veterans of labor.
The Ministry of Construction added that the innovation will contribute to the collection and reduction of debts for housing and communal services.
