HE Retail trade posted 5% increase in sales in April Compared to the same month of 2022, the rate is 4.9 percentage points lower than the previous month, as the National Institute of Statistics (INE) reported on Tuesday.

All distribution modes offered positive monthly rates in the fourth month of the year. The biggest monthly increase in sales was recorded in single-location companies (+4%), followed by small chains (+2.1%), large chains (+1%) and department stores (+0.3%).
