The Moscow District Court, with the participation of a jury, convicted former members of the Orekhovskaya organized crime syndicate (OCG), writes. “Kommersant”.

The court found all seven defendants guilty of participating in an organized crime syndicate (OPS). Their guilt was also proven in forming and joining a gang, murder and assassination attempts, illegal arms smuggling. The court proved that they were involved in 14 murders, nine attempted murders, and one murder plot.

The accused Sergei Frolov, who had been hiding from the investigation for 17 years, was sentenced to life imprisonment. His assistant, Garnik Sargsyan, was sentenced to 19 years in a strict regime colony and a fine of 600,000 rubles.

Other members of the organized crime syndicate received sentences ranging from 10 to 17 years.
