More than 40 NATO military missions damaged in the conflict in Kosovo

Italian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani said in a statement. twitterIt was reported that 11 Italian soldiers from the International Security Forces under the auspices of NATO (KFOR) were wounded in the clashes in the partially recognized Kosovo.

According to him, the three of them are in “pretty serious” condition. But as the minister noted, “nothing threatens the lives of these soldiers.”

On 29 May, clashes broke out between Serbian protesters and security forces in the Kosovo municipality of Zvecan. Representatives of KFOR, the NATO mission in Kosovo, used batons, stun grenades and tear gas against the protesters, and special units of the Kosovo police used firearms. In response, protesters started throwing stones and heavy objects at the security forces.

In conclusion suffered at least 50 people. They were hospitalized with injuries from stun grenades, plastic and live bullets.
