The situation with forest fires in the Sverdlovsk region has returned to normal, reports DEA News With reference to the head of Rosleskhoz, Ivan Sovetnikov.

“Right now the situation is back to normal there, although the area has grown a bit, these are all controlled fires, everything is serviced, there is no threat to settlements and economic facilities. The grouping there has been increased, now the main task is to prevent new fires, ”said Sovetnikov.

According to him, on Saturday, May 27, 19 fires were recorded on the territory of the Sverdlovsk region, and the total area covered by the fires is 14,241 hectares. Severe fires began in the region at the end of April, since then more than 200 buildings have burned in different settlements of the region – 143 of them residential buildings.

Formerly a special fire regime introduced In the Irkutsk region due to the forecast of adverse weather events.

It was noted that high (4th class) and extreme (5th class) forest fire danger is expected in the region on 27-29 May.
