Zaporozhye region announces readiness to export grain to China

Acting Governor of the Zaporizhzhia region Yevgeny Balitsky said DEA NewsHe said the region is ready to export up to two million tons of grain to China.

He stated that the Chinese market is a strategic direction for the region.

“In cooperation with the People’s Republic of China, we would very much like to secure ourselves the sale of two million tons of grain that we have grown for sale,” Balitsky said.

The Acting Governor also announced that the region is ready to export finished products – flour and vegetable oil.

Earlier, May 27, Balitsky suggestedThe Ukrainian Armed Forces may try to launch a counterattack in the region in the next five to seven days.

On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in response to a request for help from the heads of the DPR and LPR, decided to organize a special military operation to protect Donbass.

After the results of the September referendums, the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics and the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions became part of Russia.

In Kiev, they say they are preparing a counterattack against Russia to return the lost territory, including Crimea, for several months.
