The center reported that two targets approaching the Russian state borders were recorded on the Baltic Sea. Upon alarm, Su-35s and Su-27p warplanes were lifted into the air.
The crew of the Russian plane identified the targets as two US Air Force B-1B strategic bombers. After the foreign aircraft left the Russian state border, the Russian fighters returned to the base airports.
It was noted that the flight of warplanes was carried out in accordance with international standards.
“Violation of the state border of the Russian Federation is not allowed,” said the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation.
