A retrospective analysis of the condition of 24 patients with FSD who attended acupuncture sessions from October 2018 to February 2022 was performed. Before and after the treatment, the volunteers were evaluated for sexual desire, arousal, satisfaction, number of orgasms, and pain during intercourse.

“In this study, the overall rate of improvement in the treatment of female sexual dysfunction was 100% – estimates of women’s pre- and post-treatment sex lives differed significantly. At the end of the study, participants reported a high level of satisfaction, more orgasm, and no pain after acupuncture sessions. “This study shows that acupuncture could be a new and effective treatment for FSD. It’s simple, readily available and safe for health,” the authors said.
