However, only 6% of respondents have already quit their jobs and started their own companies. Basically, Russians are prevented from starting their own business due to their reluctance to change (59%), uncertainty about success (16%), and not understanding what niche to invest in (7%).
In addition, 48% of respondents admitted that they do not yet have the start-up capital to start their own business. 9% of respondents are ready to take out a loan to start a business, and the same number is saving money to start a business. More than a quarter (27%) are confident that successful business development requires investments ranging from 200,000 to 500,000 rubles, 20% of respondents are ready to allocate up to 100,000 rubles for such a goal, and 17% – more than a million rubles.
With the widespread use of teleworking and self-employment in general, people have begun to move away from the usual way of working in the office. So, if 65% of respondents were office workers before the coronavirus pandemic, today 39% have switched to hybrid work format, 22% have switched to remote working and only 28% have returned to their offices.
Just over half (51%) of respondents admitted that they like to work remotely, while 37% sometimes wanted to return to their usual place in the office. And 7% of respondents completely quit their previous job due to the inability to work remotely.
However, only 28% of Russians are always ready to work remotely. A quarter of respondents admitted that they were unable to organize the work environment on their own and needed to go to the office at least occasionally. And every third (34%) would like to have the opportunity to work in a hybrid format – the ability to visit the office if necessary.
