According to socialbites.ca, a leading researcher of the Space Weather Laboratory of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and head of the Heliobiology department, magnetic storms have the strongest impact on human health in the spring, namely in March and April. RAS Scientific Council on the problem on the problem of the solar-terrestrial connections”, Tamara Breus, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
“Magnetic disturbances have a seasonal course: they reach their maximum in March-April and are almost nonexistent in summer and winter. The sun has a peak – at 12 o’clock, at noon, its influence on us falls. That’s why noon is the most dangerous time,” Breus added.
Also, the intensity of a magnetic storm is location dependent. Therefore, according to Breus, the most severe storms rage at northern latitudes, while at the equator, on the contrary, they occur less frequently. For this reason, people living at high latitudes feel the effects of space weather more strongly.
