At the time of the tragedy, a 30-year-old woman was living with her two daughters, aged 8 and 12, in a boarding house on Likhachev Street in Voronezh.
At one point, the defendant’s youngest daughter fell ill. According to the case file, after a while, due to the mother’s refusal to seek help from the doctors, the girl could no longer sit on her own and could not hold a cutlery. While feeding the victim in October 2022, the woman was distracted and left him unattended. As a result, the boy choked with food and died. The woman called an ambulance and found her daughter with no signs of life, but doctors only recorded her death.
The eldest daughter of the accused was taken from the family and placed in a social institution. Later, she was temporarily transferred to a relative with her mother’s consent.
It is known that the accused fully admitted his guilt and the statement of the father of the deceased girl only strengthened the indictment in the case that will soon be held in court.
