Nelly Furtado announced this Tuesday that she has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Speaking to ‘Fault Magazine’, the 44-year-old Canadian singer explains that she was diagnosed with the disease 18 months ago while posing for a photo shoot six months later.

Regarding her diagnosis, Nelly said she wasn’t “overly dramatic about it” since she was diagnosed as an adult, and focused on “finding solutions” to manage the situation.

The artist, who gained fame with his hit songs ‘I’m like a bird’ and ‘Maneater’, as well as his Broken Strings duet with James Morrison in 2008, gave an interview and a graphic session to the aforementioned magazine. In different images, Furtado flaunts her incredible figure in an extreme jumpsuit with optical effects.

Referring to his diagnosis, he says: “I was diagnosed with ADHD for the last 18 months of my life. I think I’ve lived my whole life but When I was a kid, playing an instrument six days a week kept me in check.” She emphasizes and adds: “I now use choreography as a natural way to deal with my ADHD and go to the dance studio. I find that this discipline really helps my brain. The good news is that I’m starting to get to know my brain very well. I love talking about this topic, so I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences with people and chatting about it.”

Furtado clearly stated He has the inattentive ADHD type, not the “hyperactive type. I’ve lived my whole life. I guess what they didn’t know until now was probably a blessing. Because I think I’m mature enough to not be too dramatic about it now, and deal with it and find solutions instead of just dwelling on the emotional side.” concludes.

ADHD is a Mental disorder that affects behavior. People with the disease may feel restless, have difficulty concentrating, and act without thinking.
