Pavel Mosolov, Deputy Head of the Department for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, was sentenced to two years in prison for embezzling 20 million rubles from the budget. It has been reported TASS.
As part of this case, the former head of the Center for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Tsvetnov was sentenced to four years in prison.
“To recognize Masolov guilty of committing a crime in accordance with Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud) sentenced him to 2 years in prison, serving in a penal colony with a fine of 700 thousand rubles. Tsvetnov appointed 4 years in the colony of the general regime with a fine of 1 million rubles. The judge of the Moscow Meshchansky Court states in the decision that the sentence imposed is considered to have been executed.
In addition, former ministry officials are deprived of their right to hold public office for three years after serving their sentences.
