State Duma passes a law on the grounds of invalidating Russian passports, reports TASS.
In particular, such grounds will be the loss of the passport, the change of surname, name, surname and other passport information by the passport holder, the expiration of the passport.
Also, the passport will be deemed invalid if the citizenship expires.
Tatyana Moskalkova, Former Commissioner for Human Rights of the Russian Federation suggested Opening an MFC abroad to issue a Russian passport.
Moskalkova added that such measures are necessary due to the economic and logistical difficulties, as well as the restrictions imposed on Russia after the start of special military operations in Ukraine.
Prior to that, the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation supplied Draft decree on digital passport. The draft is published on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts.
