Two-thirds (67%) of Russians consider their own residence the main condition for happiness. This was demonstrated by a survey conducted by the developer of the RDD housing cluster, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca. Analysts identified five priorities for respondents.
According to Russians, the most common condition for happiness is the solution of the housing problem. 67% of respondents consider home an essential component of happiness. In addition, 47% of the total number of participants who gave such an answer gave a name to the new building. At the same time, 17% see a detached house as the main condition for happiness. The rest of the respondents called it more abstract concepts – “residence/apartment”.
Survey participants were also asked to answer the question of how long it would take them to realize their dreams. The majority (32%) of those who choose housing as their main condition for happiness expect to achieve this goal within three to five years.
The second most popular condition for happiness for most Russians was health and longevity for themselves and their loved ones. This was expressed by 57% of those surveyed. Most often, this answer was given by representatives of older age groups. Russians consider a healthy lifestyle (86% of those who choose “health/longevity”), high-quality medicines (72%) and regular exercise near their home (63%) as the main conditions for making this dream come true.
Children’s success ranks third in their happiness priorities among those surveyed. About 53% dream of a successful upbringing and their child’s personal success in life. In contrast, the majority of those surveyed associated the success of the younger generation with quality education – a condition named by 77% of the total number of children who viewed success as their happiness.
The fourth place in the priorities of happiness among Russians is the dream of a career. 51% said they want to achieve self-actualization, find a good job, or achieve career success in order to feel happy. It is noteworthy that this answer is given much more than the option of not working, just spending free time, living without the need to work. Only 27% of respondents see celebrating life as a condition for happiness.
Travel took the fifth place among the main dreams of Russians. Tourist trips are seen as a condition of happiness by 43% of respondents. Overall, Russians want to travel within their own country: 62% of those who choose to travel travel to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Caucasus, Baikal and other places, 32% of respondents said they would like to travel abroad (the rest did not specify where you would like to go).
