The Georgian Maritime Transport Agency reported that the information previously circulated by the Armenian media that freight transport will begin on the Batumi-Novorossiysk route, despite two commercial voyages of the ship flying the Palau flag, is not correct. TASS.
“Information spread by some media outlets in Armenia that regular maritime transport between Batumi and the Russian city of Novorossiysk will start from April of this year. [неверно] it’s being interpreted and doesn’t match reality,” the message says.
It was noted that the country’s Ministry of Finance agency and the Revenue Administration regularly inspect ships and their owners for compliance with international sanctions and do not allow restricted vessels or persons into Georgia.
