EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said that the EU has trained 15,000 Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), noting that the European community intends to expand military aid to this country. He made the relevant statement at the press conference he held after the EU Council meeting in Brussels. TASS.
According to the diplomat, Ukraine’s “defensive success” depends on both the people and the supply of weapons and ammunition.
“Therefore, military aid should continue, strengthen and expand, more air defense systems will play a role on the battlefield. This is extremely necessary,” said Borrell.
He also said that the EU has completed the training of 15,000 fighters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and that another 15,000 will be trained by the end of this year.
