Li Shu quit his job and began to rest in a rented apartment. Having no income, the man realized that he would soon spend all his savings, so he reduced spending to $1.5 a day. Also, the Chinese moved to live in a tent in an abandoned parking lot.
A used tent is its most valuable asset. Li makes a living on cheap food like noodles and dumplings and has to travel long distances to find water to recharge his phone battery. However, Shu assures that this was a conscious choice of life that he was very pleased with.
