Ship carrying space tourists went to ISS

According to SpaceX’s Twitter page, a Falcon 9 rocket with commercial tourists was launched to the International Space Station (ISS).

Flight of the Crew Dragon, manned spacecraft as part of the Axiom-2 commercial program. The commander is former NASA astronaut and first female ISS commander Peggy Whitson, pilot businessman John Schoffner, and crew members Saudi Arabian astronauts Ryan Barnawi and Ali al-Karni. The astronauts will stay on the International Space Station for eight days. They will work with the station’s permanent crew.

The spacecraft was launched from the Canaveral Space Center in Florida.

Previously reportedRyan Barnawi will become the first Muslim woman, as well as the first Saudi and Arab woman in space, while Ali al-Qarni will be the first Saudi astronaut to go to the ISS.

Launched on September 22, 2022, the space program includes 14 groundbreaking research experiments in microgravity.

The Axiom-2 mission will be similar to Axiom-1, where the world’s first four private astronauts (non-tourists) stayed on the ISS for two weeks in April 2022 and performed many experiments.
